Consul-General Kobayashi's Official Visit to Manitoba: April 22-25, 2018

Consul-General Kobayashi conducted an official visit to Manitoba from April 22nd to 25th, 2018. During his visit, the Consul-General met with key figures in the Government of Manitoba, including the Honourable Janice C. Filmon (Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba), Hon. Myrna Driedger (Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba), Hon. Blaine Pedersen (Minister of Growth, Enterprise, and Trade), Hon. Ralph Eichler (Minister of Agriculture), and Hon. Cliff Cullen (Minister of Crown Services). On the visit, the Consul-General also toured several Red River College facilities and met with various agriculture industry stakeholders. The discussions included a wide range of important topics such as opportunities for increased two-way trade and investment, the long-standing exchange with Manitoba 4-H supported by the York-Benimaru Foundation, and exchanges between post-secondary institutions.
