Sake Tasting event “Sake Stampede!”

On the evening of July 26^th, the Consul-General of Japan, Kunihiko Tanabe hosted a Sake Tasting event at his official residence. The purpose of the event was to increase knowledge of and promote Japanese sake in Alberta. 21 varieties of sake were available for tasting, provided by seven distributors and guests enjoyed the aroma and taste of each. Special remarks were made by President of Doi Sake Brewery, Mr. Yaichi Doi.  The event was attended by approximately 35 guests representing restaurants, retailers and the media. It was the first sake tasting event hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary.
