Dr. Chuji Hiruki, Professor Emeritus, University of Alberta is Awarded The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Rosette

On April 29^th, 2018 (Japan standard time), The Government of Japan announced that Dr. Chuji Hiruki, Professor Emeritus at the University of Alberta has been awarded The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Rosette. From 1970 onward, Dr. Hiruki, Professor Emeritus, engaged in research on plant pathology at the University of Alberta and developed a virus-free seed potato production method, while also making several other noteworthy achievements in research; in addition Dr. Hiruki made great efforts to raise the international popularity of the Japanese Camellia.
