Official Visit across Southern AB by Consul General Kobayashi

On September 10th and 11th, Consul General Kobayashi visited several municipalities across southern Alberta, including Brooks, Medicine Hat, Taber, and Lethbridge. He met with Mr. Barry Morishita (Mayor of Brooks), Mr. Andrew Prokop (Mayor of Taber), Mr. Chris Spearman (Mayor of Lethbridge), and others to exchange views on Japan-Canada relations and Japanese engagement in southern Alberta. The Consul General also visited Medicine Hat College, Lethbridge College, and the University of Lethbridge to exchange views on how to strengthen relations between Japan and these institutions. Other points on this visit included the Government of Alberta’s Crop Diversification Center South and JBS Canada’s beef processing facility.
