2018 Japan Photo Contest Winning Photos Announcement

2018/10/12

The Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary would like to sincerely thank everyone that made submissions to the 2018 Japan Photo Contest. This year was the 5th year our office has organized the contest, and marks the 90th Anniversary of Japan-Canada Diplomatic Relations, surpassing all previous contests with respect to a record number of photos, totalling 602 entries.
The long process of judging was completed by a panel of 3 judges including Consul General Kobayashi, as well as representatives from two of our sponsors, Japanab Magazine and The Camera Store, who sifted through a large number of high quality of photos entered by a diverse array of people across our jurisdiction. The support from our generous contest sponsors, Nikon Canada Inc., The Camera Store, and Japanab Magazine was invaluable in the contest's success. See the winning images below.
