With the goal of fostering interest in Japanese culture and to further promote understanding between Japan and Canada, The Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary is pleased to present its 7th Japan Photo Contest. This contest is open to all who reside in our jurisdiction which includes AB, MB, SK, NT & NU. Submit photos for a chance to win prizes, including the Nikon Canada Grand Prize: Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera, Z 5 24-50 Lens Kit, receive a certificate from the Consul-General, and have your photo featured online and in future events and promotions. Thank you to our generous sponsors Nikon Canada Inc., The Camera Store, and Japanab for providing this year's contest with wonderful prizes! The 2021 Japan Photo Contest has four (4) categories. Each person can submit up to a maximum of four (4) photographs (one (1) per category). Photos taken in Japan or Canada (with a Japan-related theme/subject) are welcome! Keep in mind one of the purposes of the Contest is to promote awareness of various aspects of Japan's culture, while continuing to foster the positive relationship between Japan & Canada. Submission Instructions
Deadline for submission of entries is September 30th, 2021. To reference last year's winning photos click here
Digital Photo Submission Instructions
- Read, fill out and submit the online (Google) submission form
- Submit each photo one at a time by email using the respective category links below (each photo must be between 1MB and 8MB in size)
*If the above links do not prompt a new email message using your preferred email account software, please simply submit each photo one at a time to submissions@cl.mofa.go.jp.
Printed Photo Instructions
- Read, fill out and submit the online (Google) submission form
- Mail in the photo submissions (up to four (4) photos, one per category) to the address below, and in the package be sure to let us know your full name as it corresponds to your name on the online form you will have previously submitted.
