28th Annual Alberta District Japanese Speech Contest
On March 2nd, the 28th Annual Alberta District Japanese Language Speech Contest was held at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Consul-General Shigenobu Kobayashi attended the contest as chief judge and gave opening remarks. In total 26 students from universities in Alberta and Saskatchewan participated, delivering passionate speeches on a variety of topics of the students’ choosing, with titles such as “Friends in My Heart,” “Dream of Becoming a Hero,” and “Am I in Love or Not?”
