Explore Japan
On March 9th, 2019, Consul General Kobayashi attended the Explore Japan program held at Harry Ainlay High School in Edmonton, AB, organized by the Edmonton Japanese Community Association, the Edmonton Public School Board, the Alberta Japanese Teachers’ Association, and the Consulate General of Japan in Calgary. This year marked the 9th installation of the program in which approximately 150 Canadian high school students from across Alberta participated in events such as Japanese taiko drumming, kimono and yukata dressing, calligraphy, the tea ceremony, karate, and various other valuable Japanese cultural experiences.
