Consul General Kobayashi Attends the 21st Annual Otafest

Consul General Kobayashi partook in the 21^st annual Otafest, a Japanese anime-related event held in Calgary across May 17^th - 19^th. On May 18^th Consul General Kobayashi participated as a judge for the Otafest Cosplay Contest, selected a winner for the Special Consul General’s Award from among the contestants, and provided them with a certificate. In addition, the office of the Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary headed a booth at the event over the 3 days, promoting the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games along with the JET Programme, while distributing other information on Japan to visitors.
