Award Ceremony and Reception for the 2019 Japan Photo Contest

On October 30th, the award ceremony and reception were held in honour of the winners of the 6th Japan Photo Contest at the official residence of the Consul General.
Following the opening remarks by the Consul General Kobayashi, MP Stephanie Kusie gave a short speech, and photo contest judge and representative of sponsor The Camera Store, Ms. Evelyn Drake made a toast. Afterwards, Consul General awarded the winners with a certificate and prizes from our sponsors.
This year, in addition to representatives from our regular sponsors, Nikon Canada Inc., The Camera Store and Japanab Magazine, representatives from our new sponsors, Nippon Travel Ltd. and JAL also attended the event. Japanese Tea Goodwill Ambassador, Mr. Daisuke Hirai was also in attendance to promote high quality Japanese teas.
