On November 2nd, Consul General Kobayashi, as well as Minister of Education Adriana LaGrange, and Edmonton Public School Board Trustee Nathan Yip attended the Explore Japan program held at IISLE (Institute for Innovation in Second Language Education) in Edmonton. It was organizaed by the Edmonton Japanese Community Association, the Edmonton Public School Board, the Alberta Japanese Teachers' Association, and the Consulate General of Japan in Calgary.
This year marked the 10th installation of the program which high school students from across Alberta participated in events such as Japanese taiko drumming, kimono and yukata dressing, calligraphy, tea ceremony, karate, and many other Japanese cultural activities.
