The Alberta-Japan Energy Investment Forum

On October 24th, the Alberta-Japan Energy Investment Forum was hosted by the Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary, with the support of Invest Alberta. Many Japanese companies and Alberta investment attraction agencies gathered at the Official Residence. The Forum was also attended by Alberta's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Brian Jean. The Forum included one-on-one meetings between Japanese companies and Minister Jean, presentations by Invest Alberta, Edmonton Global, Calgary Economic Development and Alberta Counsel along with networking among the participants. We hope the opportunity proved valuable to those who attended the event and could lead to encourage further development between Japan and Alberta in the energy sector.
