11th Japan Photo Contest

With the goal of fostering interest in Japanese culture and to further promote understanding between Japan and Canada, the Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary is pleased to present its 11th Japan Photo Contest. This contest is open to all who reside in our jurisdiction of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.

Submit photos for a chance to win prizes, including the Grand Prize: a Nikon Z50II 16-50mm Lens Kit, and an official certificate from the Consul-General of Japan in Calgary.

The 11th Japan Photo Contest has four categories. Each person can submit up to a maximum of four (4) photographs (up to one [1] photo per category).
Photos taken in Japan or Canada (with a Japan-related theme/subject) are welcome!

We aim to promote awareness of various aspects of Japan's culture, while continuing to foster the positive relationship between Japan & Canada.

1. Read, fill out and submit the online (Google) submission form. (Each photo must be between 1MB and 10MB in size.)
2. Images should have the minimum dimensions of 1800 x 2700 pixels, or may be subject to being disqualified.
3. Categories are:

   • History
4. By submitting photos to the contest, you consent that our office will reserve the right to use all submitted photos on social media, web, and in print. Thank you for your understanding.
