11th Japan Photo Contest Announcement of Winners

2026/2/13

The Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary would like to sincerely thank everyone that made submissions to the 11th Japan Photo Contest. Across our jurisdiction, the Contest received 200 outstanding photo entries from people in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The judging process was completed by a panel of judges which included consular staff such as Consul-General Wajima, as well as representatives from two of our sponsors, Nikon Canada and The Camera Store, as well as an executive member of Calgary Japanese Community Association (CJCA). Determining the winners was enjoyable but challenging due to the many unique photos taken in both Canada and Japan.

We would like to sincerely thank this year's sponsors, Nikon Canada Inc., The Camera Store, Matsu Kaze Tea, Amandine Bakery, Strawberry Boots, Nanao Kimono, Chichi Kimono, Japan Airlines, Sakegami, and Yamato Mart for their generosity in providing contest prizes and advertising support resulting in a successful contest.
