Interview with Consul General Kobayashi for the Floating Lantern Peace Ceremony

From August 1st to August 8th the Floating Lantern Peace Ceremony (implemented by the Floating Lantern Peace Ceremony Organizing Committee) is carrying out online programming, part of which includes an interview with Consul General Kobayashi. In addition to speaking about the Floating Lantern Ceremony’s connection with the Obon festival as well as his own personal childhood experiences, Consul General Kobayashi also touched upon the misfortunes of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, he offered his idea of how peace should be from the perspective of human security. In conclusion, Consul General conveyed a message to our youth who are the bearers of future peace.
