On Wednesday, March 2nd, the Prince Takamado Japan Centre of the University of Alberta held the webinar, “The Path to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Approaches in Japan and Canada” Series 3: “Immigrants, Welfare, and Care” sponsored by the Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary.

Professor in the Graduate School of Social Sciences at Chiba University, Dr. Reiko Ogawa from Japan joined Associate Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta, Dr. Bukola Salami from Canada to discuss issues regarding the welfare, immigration and mental health of foreign workers in Japan and Canada. After introducing the various topics in question there was an exchange of opinions as well as an interactive question and answer session.
