Consul General Uchida Attends Otafest 2022

Otafest 2022, a Japanese animation-themed event, was held at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre on May 20th and 21st. Both days were filled with cosplaying and enthusiastic anime and manga fans. As part of the Otafest Cosplay Contest, Consul-General Uchida acted as judge and awarded the Special Consul-General’s Award to one contestant. For the length of the festival, the Consulate-General of Japan in Calgary was present with a PR booth featuring Japanese calligraphy, culture and sightseeing information, as well as information about exchange programs such as the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme.
