Consul-General Uchida Participates in Japanese Anime Event “Animethon 2022”

The Japanese Anime-focued “Animethon 2022” was held at the Edmonton Convention Centre from August 5 to 7. This year marks the first time this event has been held since 2019, and included singers and guests from Japan as well as many cosplayers and fans of anime and manga.
Consul-General Uchida and Honorary Consul-General Olenka Bilash both attended the opening ceremony on the first day and delivered remarks. In addition, JET alumni volunteers were present for all three days to promote Japanese tourism and information regarding exchange programs such as the JET Programme.
