On September 16, Consul-General Uchida held a farewell reception at his official residence. Various community leaders, consular corps members, and those who had a good relationship with him during his tenure were in attendance.
In his speech, Consul-General Uchida looked back at his time in Calgary since his arrival in March 2021, and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to everybody who helped in his official duties despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
