2024 JET Programme Departure Reception

On August 2nd, Consul-General Wajima hosted the Pre-Departure Reception for the 38th JET Programme (Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme) participants at the Official Residence.
Including the 37 JET participants, there were approximately 50 guests including Dr. Olenka Bilash, Honorary Consul-General of Japan in Edmonton, Tyson Nissen, one of the co-chairs from the JET Alumni Association of Southern Alberta, JET Alumni executives, Interviewers for the 38th JET selection process and more.
The JET participants departed for Japan the following morning to begin their work as ALTs and CIRs.
