Consul-General Wajima Attends Prince Takamado Japan Centre's 20th anniversary

On September 24th and 25th, Consul-General Wajima visited Edmonton with Ambassador Yamanouchi to attend the 20th anniversary ceremony of the Prince Takamado Japan Centre for Teaching and Research, held at the Kurimoto Japanese Garden and the Timms Center For The Arts at the University of Alberta. Many distinguished guests celebrated the center’s 20th anniversary.
During the ceremony, Consul-General Wajima expressed gratitude for the center’s long-standing contributions to strengthening relationship between Japan and Alberta, as well as Japan and Canada, while also conveying hopes for its future development. He engaged in discussions with various attendees, including The Honorable Ian McKay, Canada's ambassador to Japan; Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta; and Laurie Peters, Commissioner General of Canada at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai; as well as representatives from the National Association of Japanese Canadians, Edmonton Japanese Community Association, and Calgary Japanese Community Association, among others.
