Consul-General Wajima visits the Government of Manitoba

On March 24th, Consul-General Wajima visited the Government House of Manitoba and the Legislative Building, where he met with the Honourable Anita R. Neville, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba; Honourable Wab Kinew, Premier of Manitoba; and Honourable Nellie Kennedy, Minister of Sport, Culture, Heritage and Tourism.
Opportunities to exchange opinions on a wide variety of topics, including food, resource security, and cultural exchange between Japan and the Province of Manitoba were discussed.
Honorary Consul General of Japan in Winnipeg Kenneth Zaifman was present at each meeting, while Les Kojima, President of the National Association of Japanese Canadians, and Jim Suzuki, President of the Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba, were also present at the meeting with Minister Kennedy to exchange views on future initiatives in Manitoba.
