Consul-General Wajima Meets with the Rotary International Convention Participants

The Rotary International Convention was held in Calgary. It was attended by approximately 16,000 people from more than 140 countries and regions, including about 1,500 participants from Japan. Consul-General Wajima hosted a reception at the official residence for participants from Japan, where he listened to an overview of Rotary Club activities and exchanged opinions on the nature of international cooperation. He also attended a breakfast meeting, where he discussed the importance of bilateral relations between Canada and Japan, as well as the role the Rotary Club can play in the current international landscape.
