Participation in Edmonton Japanese Community Association “Natsu Matsuri”

On July 12th, Consul-General Wajima attended the Natsu Matsuri (Summer Festival) held at the Edmonton Japanese Community Association (EJCA) Centre in Edmonton. He delivered a speech to express his appreciation and respect for the organizers and volunteers. He also took part in the Kagami Biraki (Sake barrel opening ceremony) alongside EJCA President Hitomi Suzuta and members of the Japanese community.
The festival featured performances by Kita no Taiko, as well as demonstrations of Japanese martial arts such as Kyudo, Iaido, Karate, and Judo, along with a variety of Japanese food. The festival concluded with a Bon Odori dance and was attended by a large, enthusiastic crowd.
