2025 JET Programme Departure Reception

On August 1st, Consul-General Wajima hosted the Pre-Departure Reception for the 39th JET Programme (Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme) participants at the Official Residence.
Including the 19 JET participants, there were many guests including Dr. Olenka Bilash, Honorary Consul-General of Japan in Edmonton, Tyson Nissen, the chair of the JET Alumni Association of Southern Alberta, Katherine Vos, the chair of the JET Alumni Association of Northern Alberta, representatives from the Japanese community, university instructors and more.
The JET participants departed for Japan the following morning to begin their work as ALTs and CIRs.
