Consul-General Wajima Attends Cornfest in Taber

On August 21st, Consul-General Wajima attended the 40th Taber Cornfest, joining the parade and delivering a speech at the opening ceremony.
During the event, Consul-General Wajima had the honour of speaking with Elder Fox, who generously shared insights on the culture and history of the Blood Tribe, as well as his personal experience in the residential school system. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from such an esteemed figure.
The Town of Taber has a sister city twinning relationship with the town of Higashiomi in Shiga prefecture. We hope that the friendship between our two municipalities will continue in the future.
