2025/11/11
On November 11th, Consul General and Mrs. Wajima attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Military Museums in Calgary. They joined fellow Consuls General from the UK and the USA in laying a wreath to honor those who sacrificed their lives for peace.
The ceremony was also attended by the Hon. François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance; His Worship Jeromy Farkas, newly elected Mayor of Calgary; and Ms. Susan Matsumoto, President of the Calgary Japanese Community Association.
This year marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War - a meaningful moment to remember the fallen and to reaffirm our shared commitment to peace, democracy, and human rights.
