Consul-General and Mrs. Wajima Participate in Banff Cleanup Activity
2026/4/25
On April 25, Consul General and Mrs. Wajima participated in Banff cleanup activity following their participation last year.
This tradition was started back in 1995 by the local Japanese community with the spirit of, “Let’s clean up after the many Japanese visitors ― as Japanese ourselves.” While the event was paused during the pandemic, it found new life in 2022 when Banff began its Earth Day (April 22) cleanup campaign. Today, the Japanese community’s efforts are part of this official town initiative. It’s now a regular spring highlight for the area, and Consul-General and other consulate members were proud to take part.
