Consul-General Wajima Attends the Calgary Fire Department Stampede Breakfast

On July 6th, 2026, Consul-General Wajima and the staff attended the Calgary Fire Department Stampede Breakfast.
In the spirit of the Stampede, the breakfast celebrated the firefighting community and the city it serves.
The program included acknowledgements of firefighting efforts across Calgary, along with a bagpipe performance. Did you know? A bagpipe actually contains four reeds, not one!
The Consulate-General of Japan is deeply grateful to the Calgary Fire Department for their dedication to the safety of Japanese citizens living in and visiting Calgary. We were honoured to take part in this event celebrating their contributions to the community.
