Japan Night at GlobalFest 2026

GlobalFest 2026 was held in Calgary, Alberta, from August 27 to 30. August 27 was designated as Japan Night, featuring a wide range of events showcasing Japanese culture, including a dance performance by the yosakoi group YOSOCA, a sumo demonstration, and The Golden Fork Food Truck Challenge. Seattle-based Chef Shota Nakajima served as one of the judges, alongside Chef Oyama from the Consulate General of Japan in Calgary.
